beautiful, breathtaking, stunning, surprising petra. it's not about a girl's eyes in this case...it's about rocks and architecture. clearly less romantic but still impressive.
spend two days walking back and forth in the valley and up and down the hills, skipping meals, and taking a picture once a while.
the good part of low season: there are few people who block your view. i guess standing in front of the treasury with just 10 people around you is a rare moment. lucky me.
and then there is the daily question of our driver:
- 'when to you want to start tomorrow?'
- 'early!'
this ritual is always finished by his micro-expression saying '...a tour of early birds and a photographer. toxic combination... next time i get a group of lazybones'. but he's a nice chap anyway.
